HW, Lisa, Today's Divorce Rates-Why is it so high?., HubPages. http://hubpages.com/hub/Why-the-Divorce-Rate-May-Be-So-High. 2011.
African Americans showed to have the highest divorce rates, and the lowest rates of marriage, above all other ethnic groups. It showed how the divorce rates were relatively close, and that in the 60's it was again relatively close.
I believe that divorce and marriage should not be based on the ethnicity of the couple, but rather the circumstances leading to the decission fo proceeding with the divorce and/or marriage. To me this would be inaccurate because its based off of person to person, couple to couple, it is individual and has nothing to do with what you look like. Many people marry for different reasons and divorce for different reasons but rarely do you see people divorcing based on color/ethnicity. I feel that when gathering information and statistics for divorce rates and marriage it should be solely based on how many couples are staying married, how many are getting divorced, and how many people remain single.
